Why choose 50MP IMX766 instead of a 48MP camera module?

Does PDAF replace the need to evaluate Autofocus performance?
No. PDAF is part of the focusing system, but actual autofocus performance depends on lens design, firmware control, target contrast, lighting and the host system.
Is Type-C USB2.0 faster than a normal USB2.0 connector?
No. Type-C describes the connector form, while USB2.0 defines the transmission standard. This module uses Type-C USB2.0, so the available bandwidth follows USB2.0 limitations.
When should I choose the AF version instead of the FF version?
Choose the AF version when the object distance changes during normal operation. Choose the FF version when the camera observes a stable distance and the project benefits from M12 or C/CS lens flexibility.
Is 50MP always better for AI vision applications?
